Hey Bonnie-
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love a good snooze in a hammock. Growing up we would love to spend summer afternoons relaxing in them. Hammocks are on a first come first serve basis at
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Grab a cocktail and soak up some sun while whisked away to white-sand Caribbean Beaches or the Mexican Riviera. A fairy godmother told me that there are only six hammocks at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and they are outside Building 5. In the future they may arrive/return to other resorts.
Elsewhere, if you are looking for some privacy and special place to relax with your family then you may rent a cabana. They are available at several locations including the Magic Kingdom Resort area hotels: Disney’s Contemporary, Disney’s Polynesian Village and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resorts. Currently the Premium Cabanas at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are unavailable due to renovations.
Cabanas come standard with two padded lounge chairs, two padded straight-backed chairs, Plush towels, 32-inch LCD television with cable access and optional earphones, DVD/CD/MP3 player, Phone for internal Resort calls, Ceiling fan, Mini refrigerator stocked with complimentary sodas and water. A fruit basket (may not be available without advance reservation). Please call 407-WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529) for reservations.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park also has premium beach chair space which includes two lounge chairs, an umbrella, a cocktail table and 4 towels. Guests may stop at Shade Shack Rentals or call 407-WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529) for reservations.
Have fun relaxing.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
