Hiya Donna!
Welcome to planDisney! Linking accounts and making plans as a family is one of the things I take seriously. My husband and I enjoy planning our trips together and setting up our
My Disney Experience Accounts is the most important first step.
I'm not sure if it has been done already but I strongly recommend your husband create his own My Disney Experience account using a separate email from yours. The next step is to make sure you and your friends are connected on "
My Family & Friends" which is a list of people that you share and make plans with. Once your husband makes his account, just head to your list and click on "+ Add a Guest" and search for his account so that it can be linked to yours. He will have to
accept your request to share plans for the link to be complete. Tell him to check his email for the link to do that. Once you are linked you can head to your Family & Friends List and click on "Settings." It is here that you can allow your husband to view all of your plans, allow him to see your Disney PhotoPass photos, or help manage the accounts of people you are not making accounts for such as kids. Make sure to click "Save!" When you made your reservations you should have entered the names of everyone in your party so by linking the names to the accounts and then to you it should all be connected. If for some reason your husband's account is not found to be linked or other issues arise I would
reach out to the lovely Cast Members at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations.
Your husband should now be able to see under his plans in the My Disney Experience Account your trip together and if he is not assigned a ticket you can do that from your account. Just scroll down, on the plans page and look for
Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker. Look for the tickets you have for your upcoming trip, click on "Reassign Ticket" and then select your husband who should show up on the list that appears.
One of the advantages of having two adults with two separate accounts is that when on your holiday, you can strategically plan your day! At 7 AM two things may need to happen: secure a spot on the
Virtual Queue for a ride and book a
Lightning Lane with Genie+. When visiting Magic Kingdom Park, my goal is to get a chance to experience
TRON Lightcycle / Run and get an early Lightning Lane for Peter Pan's Flight. Since one account cannot do both at the same time, it helps that my husband focuses on grabbing a spot on the Virtual Queue while I focus on Genie+. We literally will count down together and tap on our phones at the same time. It has worked great every time!
I hope this helps and if you have any more questions please free to
let me know personally!
Happy Planning!
