I cannot use a Disneyland ticket I purchased. Is there any way to get a credit to use in the future?

Hi Diane! The great news is that you have a Disneyland theme park ticket. The even better news is that you have some flexibility regarding when you use it. You've got a friend in me to help you out with this. Let's get into it!

Standard theme park tickets generally have a decent amount of time before the expiration date approaches. For example, a standard one-day ticket purchased through the Disneyland website or app today would be valid through December 30, 2026. The window is a little longer for multi-day tickets, and is different for special ticket offers. The best thing to do would be to check your ticket for the expiration date, since it can vary depending on when you purchased it and what type of ticket it is.

If you purchased your ticket online, see if you can find the confirmation email, as the expiration date should be listed there. If you have a printed ticket or an e-ticket, it should be listed on the ticket itself. You can also call the Tickets phone line and get assistance from a Cast Member.

If you are unable to use your ticket before it expires, Hakuna Matata, Diane! Wholly unused theme park tickets (excluding special event tickets) can be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value. I've confirmed with a Cast Member that you can do this by visiting an on-site ticket booth or calling the Tickets phone line. My brother did this just a few months ago and said the process was fairly easy. Remember that a separate theme park reservation for the new date will be required for park entry.

The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration just kicked off and will last through summer 2026. The atmosphere is so festive, and some of my favorite entertainment offerings are back as part of the anniversary. There are some really fun interactive features too – I can't wait to do the Key to Disneyland activity with my kids. Check out the complete 70th Anniversary guide on the Disney Parks Blog. Of course, the Resort will transform for Halloween Time and the Holidays, too. You can't go wrong when selecting a date for your visit.

Diane, I will sprinkle some pixie dust and make a wish that you'll have an opportunity to visit the Disneyland Resort sometime soon! If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
