I cannot get a character dining reservation at magic kingdom, where else should I try to get reservations on the dining plan?

Hello, Patti! The Character Dining Locations at the Magic Kingdom are some of our favorites. My son's all time favorite is Chef Mickey's which is located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It is only a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom and it would be a great opportunity to see the Fab Five while enjoying a meal. I also highly suggest 'Ohana or Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort which are both on the Disney Dining Plan. Another Character DIning Experience that is close to the Magic Kingdom is 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. At dinner time you can meet Cinderella and Prince Charming along with the hysterical Evil Step-Sisters.

You can also keep checking back with the Character Dining Experience reservations at the Magic Kingdom. People cancel reservations every day so you'll want to keep checking back in case availability opens up. A Cast Member once told me that people typically cancel reservations close to the one week mark of a scheduled reservation, and that availability opens up around then. So don't give up, keep trying!

My fingers are crossed that you are able to schedule some really nice reservations. Let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you, Patti. Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
