When going to the candlelight processional at Epcot, how early do we need to get in line before the show starts?

Hi Kelly!  This can change from day to day in EPCOT according to park crowds.  The Candlelight Processional is a very popular show during the holiday weeks.  I suggest guests try to obtain the dinner packages since this is one way to guarantee a seat for a specific show.  However, if this is not possible there will always be a certain amount of stand by seating available for each show.

I have seen guests line up for stand by seating at least an hour before a show.  My suggestion is to be in line no later then 45 minutes unless it is apparent the park crowds are low and the line is not forming.  This can happen quickly though so don't delay too long.  Once the dinner package guests are seated the line for the stand by guests will be allowed to enter.  All seating is on a first come basis and the best seats will most likely be taken by the package guests.

On busy nights even the dinner package seating line can get very long. Last year it wound all the way back to France one night!  Since the seating even for this line is first come you don't want to wait until the last minute to arrive for this as well.

If you don't want to be standing in line and listening to other shows then I suggest you aim to be there for the first show time.  You can also stand outside of the seating area and listen but this certainly is not the most comfortable and you will also have a lot of outside noises and people talking to disrupt your concentration and enjoyment of the performance.
