Hello Darla! The
Candlelight Processional held annually at Epcot, is a beautiful re-telling of the Christmas story. This is done with a celebrity narrator, 50 piece orchestra and a large choir. I had the pleasure of enjoying this event twice this past Christmas season and I can tell you it is wonderful!
If you are interested in a Candlelight Processional dinner package, which includes a reserved seating area for viewing, I would strongly suggest you make your reservations as soon as your 180 day advance dining reservation window becomes available. You will need to provide a valid credit card as a guarantee, but the card will not be charged. If you decide to pay out of pocket, you will pay at the restaurant when you dine. If you decide to use dining plan credits it will cost you 2 Table Service credits, which again would be taken from you at the time you dine. As far as which would be better to use- I think if you are going to use the lunch option for your package, you would be better off paying out of pocket, but I think there is some value to using the 2 TableService credits for a dinner package. The lunch and dinner options all include appetizer, entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage. Each of the participating restaurants charges a different amount for these packages, so depending on the one you choose it may or may not be a better value to pay out of pocket. That is something that you will need to compare when more details are released later in the year.
