Welcome, Samantha! I sincerely hope that you are planning to
visit with Olaf at
Disney's Hollywood Studios as he doesn't currently know any Samanthas and I think he'd really like to meet one!
At this time, you are unable to transfer an
advanced dining reservation to another Guest, including a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package. However, you
can add a Guest to your reservation by finding it in your
My Disney Experience account (under "My Plans") and selecting "Change Reservation." That being said, if you really need to transfer it to someone else, there is a strategy that
may work.
You can coordinate with the other Guest and tell them exactly when you will be canceling your reservation. Once you cancel, they should immediately book the reservation. For your best chances of this being successful, I'd suggest calling the person at the time you said you'd cancel, and have them navigate to the specific
dining event page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Then, once you're both ready, you would cancel your reservation and once that's complete, the person would make their reservation immediately thereafter. I must warn you that while I have successfully done this a few times in the past, there
is always the possibility that someone else is on the site at the exact same time looking for that reservation and there's a chance you may lose it.
With many advanced dining reservations, you are usually able to have the other Guest give your name to the Cast Member even if you are not joining them. However, since dining packages are usually prepaid, it could get a bit messy as you are paying for someone else's dining package. Plus, any
cancelation fees would be charged to you if the other Guests don't show up.
Samantha, I wish you the best for a wonderful holiday visit.
Please reach out again if you have any other questions.
Christmas time comes once a year,
Matt
