Hi Candace We were thinking of taking your mosaic class when we come down in March. My question is it says kids 12+. My daughter turns 12 in June. She 21/2 months short. Would you by chance let her still take the class or not?

Hi Tricia! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Mosaic classes are such a fun way to create a special souvenir to take home from your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I think you may be referring to this great information my fellow panelist, Candace, provided a couple of months ago. There are a variety of mosaic classes offered at many resort hotels, and each one has its own special design that is often related to the theme of the resort. While I’m not sure which one you are considering, the two that can be reserved in advance are the Spanish Mosaic Art activity at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and African Mosaic Art at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can book the Spanish art class online, and you can book the African art class by calling Tours and Recreation. These are fun, family-friendly activities where you and your daughter will create some special memories! I chatted with a Cast Member today who confirmed that artists under age 12 are welcome, but they will just need to be accompanied by an adult.

If you are considering a mosaic class at another resort, they are often offered at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. You’ll need to check at these resorts for the times the activity is offered during your stay and registration details. Be sure to plan about two hours for the activity. It could make a nice midday break or is the perfect activity for a resort day!

Tricia, I hope this helps you make plans for a little creativity during your visit! If you have any more questions, come back and see us here at planDisney. My friends and I are always happy to help add a little extra pixie dust to your visit!
