Hi Sharon,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Unless you booked your room with a travel agent, I suggest that you call to speak with a cast member at 407-939-5277 to cancel your reservation. Before doing so, I recommend that you review the
Walt Disney World Terms and Conditions. Several years ago, I had to cancel our Walt Disney World
vacation package. Luckily, I called before the due date of final payment so I was able to receive a refund of my deposit.
If you are planning to return at a different time, you may want to investigate changing your dates. For us, budget is always a concern, so we have changed dates to take advantage of newly released
Special Offers. We have also reconsidered our resort hotel if one resort hotel has a better price with a special offer.
Sharon, if you made
advanced dining reservations, you will need to cancel those separately. Years ago, I made the mistake of assuming that the system would automatically cancel our dining reservations when I cancelled our vacation package and it did not. So, we were charged a fee for the first dining reservation. Thankfully, I called to speak to a cast member who was gracious enough to refund the charge, but I learned a valuable lesson. Always remember to cancel those dining reservations if you cancel your trip!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
