Cancelling Annual Passes. From Disney Email 4/17, Stated refund from the date the parks closed officially for the rest of time my passes were active. Information from Disney now states from opening 7/11. What about the dates parks closed until re-opening?

    Hi Rafael,

Thanks for your question. I'm a long-time Florida Resident passholder, and it makes me sad to think that any of us have to decide whether or not be to cancel our annual passes. But it is certainly understandable for many families during this time. So I'm happy to share with you the cancellation and refund process as I understand it, based on the communications we passholders have received from Walt Disney World.

As a Florida resident, I take advantage of the monthly payment plan. For those of us on the plan, our monthly payments were suspended during the time the parks were closed so we weren't paying for the weeks when we couldn't visit the parks.

Because the phased reopening began this month, our payments also will resume. (Walt Disney World is adding an extra month to our expiration date without additional charge.)

If we choose to cancel by the August 11 deadline, any payments we made between July 11 and August 11 will be refunded, and our remaining payments will be canceled.

I'm not sure of the exact details for refunds to passholders who have paid in full, other than what I can see here on the Walt Disney World website. If your passes are paid in full and you need clarification on the refund policy, I recommend you contact V.I.PASSHOLDER Support at (407) 939-7277 so that you can talk to an expert cast member.

That is also the number you would call to cancel your passes.

I hope that is clear, Rafael, and helps you as you make your cancellation decision. Best wishes to you and your family.
