Hey Howdy Hey Deanna and welcome to planDisney!
I am so glad you are thinking about visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, hopefully, soon! Thank you so much for your question about using your tickets from your canceled trip as this process can get tricky. Let's review a few things to try and get your tickets ready!
The first thing you are going to do is to check your
My Disney Experience account to see if you still have access to your tickets. If you log onto your account, go under the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section of your account. You should see a heading there titled "My Tickets & Memory Maker" which you will click on.
Under this tab, you should be able to see all the tickets that you have linked to your account and the members of your party they are assigned to. You should also see a blue link under the tickets titled "Change Ticket". If you click on that link, you should be able to select a date in the future you would like to change the usage of the ticket to. Just a forewarning, tickets are sold priced specifically for dates and seasons, so if you select a date that is more expensive than the original date, you will be responsible for the difference.
Now, these steps will work well if you still have access to your tickets. All tickets come with expiration dates as well. If you are going to book your tickets to a date outside of their expiration date or you are not able to access your tickets, you will need to
call Disney to have a Cast Member help you from here. Disney has usually been able to apply the amount paid from expired tickets towards new tickets, so hopefully with a little faith, trust and pixie dust, the Cast Members you speak with can help you through this process seamlessly!
There is so much that is happening right now in Walt Disney World from the continued celebration of the newly opened attraction in EPCOT
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind to the anticipation of the
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. There is also so much we are looking forward to that has been announced such as the return of the beloved
Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom and several things we are anxiously awaiting word from Disney such as the opening of TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom. You can catch up on these and so much more over at
Disney Parks Blog for all the news on the parks to help get even more excited for your upcoming trip!
I hope this information helped get your tickets ready to use for a new trip! If you have any further questions please feel free to reach back out, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
