I cancelled my reservation at 12:30 am the day of my reservation. Do I get charged?

Hi Elaine! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question!

A lot of Guests (just like yourself!) are getting used to the theme park reservation system, or using it for the first time! It sounds like you are well versed in making those reservations and even how to cancel and reschedule them. It's great that you were hoping to pay it forward by canceling and maybe opening up some pixie dust for a Guest that was hoping to go on your date! Reservations technically need to be canceled by 11:59 p.m. P.S.T. the evening before. While I know your heart was in the right place, once that clock strikes midnight that reservation is yours for keeps!

Whether or not a missed reservation has an impact on your account depends on the type of ticket you are holding. If you have a regular theme park ticket - either a One Park Per Day or a Park Hopper - there is currently no charge or penalty against your ticket for an unused theme park reservation. If you have a Magic Key annual pass, any missed or unused reservations will be noted. Once you have 3 "no-shows" within 90 days, your Magic Key will be put on pause for 30 days.

When it comes to rescheduling your ticket, there is so much magic ahead! Of course, the summer is full of Nighttime Spectaculars, beautiful sunny weather, and some classic attractions. My personal favorite time to visit is the fall, and we've just heard that Halloween Time will be hitting the parks from September 2 - October 31st. The grim, grinning ghosts will be out in full force, and you won't want to miss Jack Skellington's Haunted Mansion Holiday and all of your favorites from Cars Land dressed in their Haul-o-ween best! While we don't have a firm date on when the holly jolly holiday season will kick off, generally mid-November is a good bet! You can expect "Believe ... In The Holiday Magic" fireworks to light up the night above Sleeping Beauty Castle along with A Christmas Fantasy Parade floating down Main Street, U.S.A., and the handmade candy canes from Candy Palace

If you aren't sure when you might want to visit and are looking for some inspiration, stay tuned to the new planDisney Podcast where my fellow panelists are dishing out their best tips and tricks across all topics from those Nighttime Spectaculars to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to the best of the holidays!

Elaine, no matter when you decide to visit, your time will be filled with magic and wonder! If you have any more questions, come back to see us here at planDisney!

    Magic awaits!
