Hi Kimberly,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for stopping by with a question!
First, let me say how sorry I am to hear that you had to cancel a resort hotel reservation. In our house, such cancellations bring only
Sadness. The time it takes to process your refund may differ between financial institutions and may depend on how you booked your resort hotel stay.
I typically book directly through the
Walt Disney World Resort website online and, in general, I have received my refunds in about a week from the time I cancelled. I would also suggest that you review the
Terms and Conditions to determine the amount of the refund, if any, you may be entitled to depending on how you booked your reservation and when you cancel.
If your cancellation was due to park closure, also make note of the
travel updates to determine what, if any, special cancellation procedures might apply to your resort hotel cancellation. If you are looking to reschedule, know that, currently, some reservations can be made for 2021. We recently made one for our girls' spring break week. Linking that vacation package reservation in My Disney Experience gave us quite a bit of much-needed happiness.
Kimberly, keep checking your debit or credit card account to see if that refund has been processed. If you do not see it, feel free to call and speak with a Cast Member at 407-939-5277. I am embarrassed to admit that I kept looking for a refund one year only to realize that I had paid the deposit on my credit card and not my check card. Lo and behold, it had been processed!
Sending you a little extra pixie dust trusting that you will be able to return to a
world of magic again very soon!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
