What is the cancellation policy for a room only Disney World reservation?

    Hi Angela!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney. It's always a treat to help Guests like you prepare for magical stays at the Walt Disney World Resort!

If you’ve booked a Room-Only reservation (meaning you reserved just the hotel room, without theme park tickets or a vacation package), here’s the cancellation policy straight from Mickey’s playbook:

You can cancel up to 8 days before your check-in date without any penalty. If you cancel any sooner, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s stay (plus tax) will apply. This policy gives you a little flexibility if your plans change faster than the monorail between stops!

To cancel, you can use your My Disney Experience account or give a friendly Cast Member a call. Just make sure to have your reservation number handy so they can work their magic quickly! As always, policies can change, so be sure to check the official website for the most up-to-date info and cancellation policies.

If you need help picking a resort that fits your vibe or tips for your arrival day, feel free to send another question our way. We love being your vacation planning sidekicks!

Wishing you a practically perfect trip,
