What is the cancellation policy for January 2013 if you are less than 38 days from date of travel? Is it a $200 loss only and remainder returned?

That depends on what type of reservation you have booked, and through whom you have booked. If you made your reservations through a third party like Expedia or Travelocity, then you will need to contact that company to see what cancellation policy will apply to your trip. If you booked through Disney, then read on.

If it is a room-only reservation and you cancel at least 7 days prior to arrival, there is no fee assessed.

If you have booked a Magic Your Way package, then yes, you are correct that cancelling in 44 days or under will result in a $200 fee. Cancelling before that 45 day mark will get you a full refund, and there is no refund at all for no-shows.

If you are unable to make the trip in January but could do so at a later date, it would be wise to reschedule your vacation rather than cancel, saving yourself that $200 fee.

And of course, it is always best to call (407) W-DISNEY for specific information regarding your reservation.

    Good luck!
