How do you do, Ron? Thanks for joining us here at planDisney and for bringing us your great question. I always like to know all of my options when making plans to visit the Disneyland Resort and I'm thrilled to help you out today.
Plans can sometimes change so it's a good idea to be prepared and know what to expect. When making a room-only reservation for a
Disneyland Resort Hotel at the Disneyland site, you will be charged a deposit equal to one night's room price plus tax (deposit amount subject to change). Should something happen and you (unfortunately) need to cancel, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to arrival date to receive a full refund. Any cancelation less than 5 days prior to arrival date will result in a cancelation fee of the first night's room plus taxes and fees.
When you book a
Disneyland Vacation Package, a $200 deposit (deposit amount subject to change) will be due at the time of booking. For cancelations made 30 days or more prior to your arrival, amounts paid (minus cancelation fees assessed by third-party hotels or other suppliers, non-refundable travel protection plan costs and other amounts owed) will be refunded. For cancelations made 5 to 29 days prior to arrival, amounts paid (minus a cancelation fee of $200 per package and minus third-party hotels and suppliers as before) will be refunded. For cancelations made 4 days or less prior to your arrival (or for no-shows), the full price of the package (including theme park tickets and all other components of the package) is non-refundable.
As always, the above cancelation policies are subject to change and I strongly recommend carefully reading the terms and conditions for each option (a link to them can be found towards the bottom of the site when making your purchase). You can also reach out to a friendly Cast Member as you go through the process for any additional help. I love using the "Chat" feature on the site (when available) to get any extra help I might need.
I hope this is helpful in your planning, Ron. It's an especially magical year to visit the Disneyland Resort with the festivities of the
Disney100 Celebration in full swing. As part of the celebration, you can receive
complimentary digital downloads of your attraction photos - a great keepsake from your magical visit. Just snap a picture of the monitor that shows your group's photo that includes your Attraction ID and you can add it to the
Disneyland app to download.
Ron, if you come across any other questions as you continue to plan your visit, please come back and share them with us -
even feel free to ask me directly. Until then, I wish you happy planning and a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a magical day,
Michelle
