Maryann from MD Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

What is your cancellation policy? I heard a full refund 30 days out.

    Hi Maryann! Welcome to planDisney.

I see you're planning a December 2022 visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Here at planDisney, we love planning (it's baked right into our name), and I love that you are getting all your Donald Ducks in a row as you plan and dream about your vacation!

Cancellation policies vary based on the type of reservation you make. If you're making a room-only reservation (meaning you did not include theme park tickets in your reservation to make it a vacation package) the current cancellation policy is that you must cancel at least five days before your check-in date to receive a full refund of your deposit. If you're making a vacation package reservation, including a booking at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel room and theme park tickets, you must cancel at least 30 days in advance of your check-in date. Please note that these policies are subject to change at any time, and you should read the full terms and conditions to understand the policies and timelines applicable to your reservation. If you have any questions about your reservation, please call (407) 939-1936 to speak with a friendly Cast Member at the Disney Reservations Center.

I sure hope you don't have to cancel, Maryann! But if something changes, please know you also have the option of modifying your reservation to select a new date. As a military spouse, I have lots of experience doing this! You may be able to modify your reservation in My Disney Experience under "Resort Hotel," but if that option doesn't appear, you will need to call. Just remember that if you modify, your rates may change, or you may not find availability for the new dates at the same Disney resort hotel. My family has a goal of staying at every Disney Resorts Collection hotel, so we are happy to be flexible when our plans change!

As you count down to your visit, be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news and updates. 2022 is going to bring so many exciting new things at Walt Disney World, and I can't wait for you to experience it all. Remember, your pals at planDisney are happy to help if you have any more questions as you continue to make your plans, so come back and see us!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
