what is the cancellation policy for the Disney Resort Campgrounds

Hiya, Fred! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is such a fun and unique place to stay. In fact, my family and I love it there so much that we spend the week of Christmas there every year. It's practically perfect during that time of year.

Fred, I'm sorry to hear that you are thinking of canceling your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Of course, plans can change and Walt Disney World has various policies to accommodate this. There are two different ways of booking - a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel-only reservation or a vacation package. Each has a different cancellation policy. If you've booked a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel-only stay (where tickets were not included) then your reservation can be modified or canceled up to 5 days prior to your check-in day. If you've booked a vacation package that included your stay at the campground and theme park tickets, then you can cancel your reservation up to 30 days in advance. If you have any questions about the type of booking that you made, you can reach out to a Cast Member in the reservation department at (407) 939-1936 and they will be more than happy to provide that information to you. They will also be able to help you with your cancelation if that is something you are going to move forward with. Phone lines are open from about 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. each day.

I hope this information is helpful to you, Fred. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help!

    Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
