What is the cancellation policy for the campground?

Hiya Michael - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists! We're always here to help Guests just like you plan for a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are such a unique way to stay in the magic - I love everything this Disney Resorts Collection property has to offer! Make sure to grab some all-you-care-to-enjoy American favorites at Trail's End Restaurant. You can even take a Wilderness Back Trail Adventure on a Segway X2 all-terrain vehicle!

The cancellation policies for The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are the same as all other Disney Resorts Collection properties. The important distinction is to know whether you have what's called a "Room Only" reservation or a vacation package of some kind. A Room Only reservation is as simple as it sounds - you've just reserved your room (or in this case, your campsite) without adding anything additional - no tickets, transportation, etc. If you are unsure, call and speak to a Reservations Cast Member to ensure you know what type of reservation you are making.

These reservations can be modified or canceled without penalty at least five days prior to your arrival date, which is some great flexibility! If you've purchased a vacation package, you can receive a full refund, minus any cancellation fees assessed by third-party vendors (e.g., ground transportation) if your cancellation request is made at least 30 days prior to your arrival date. Walt Disney World Resort will assess cancellation fees for vacation package cancellations made two days to 29 days prior to arrival. If you cancel one day or less prior to arrival, or if you do not show up for your reservation, your vacation package is non-refunadable.

I hope this information is helpful as you plan your vacation. Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help with!
