Hi there, Kathy!
I’m glad you sent your question to planDisney! I hope you’re getting ready to book a
Disney Cruise soon. It’s truly one of my family’s favorite vacations! We especially love sailing with our extended family, as it gives us that rare chance to slow down and enjoy uninterrupted time together. In the middle of our busy lives, a few days at sea is such a gift!
Understanding the cancellation policies is a good idea before booking your Disney Cruise! These rules can vary depending on your stateroom category, cruise length, and itinerary, so it’s always best to review the details for your specific sailing. You’ll usually find them in your confirmation email.
Disney Cruise Line’s cancellation policies are also listed in the
Terms and Conditions for Residents of the United States. In most cases, staterooms canceled at least 90 days before Embarkation Day for 1–5 night cruises, or at least 120 days before 6‑night or longer cruises, are fully refundable. As the sail date gets closer, cancellation fees begin to apply and can range from the deposit amount to the full cost of the vacation. Suites, concierge staterooms, and certain restricted categories follow different rules, which is why it’s important to double-check the policy for your exact voyage.
Which itineraries are you thinking about? I’m always drawn to warm‑weather sailings that include a stop at
Disney Castaway Cay. It’s my favorite destination! However, I have been tempted by an
Alaskan itinerary lately. My family enjoys being outdoors, and seeing glaciers up close would be incredible. I probably just need to make it happen!
Kathy, I hope you find the perfect cruise to enjoy! Please contact planDisney again if you have more questions!
Happy sailing!
Jen
