    If I canceled my trip, what is the ETA of when the money would be returned to my account?

    Hi, Chris!

    When I have had to regretfully cancel a Walt Disney World vacation, I am usually told it will take at least 1 billing cycle of my credit card for the credit to show. However,  I find that when I check my online statement, it usually appears within the week.  This is if you book directly through WDW.  If you book through a travel agent or other avenue, please check with them directly for their particular cancellation/refund policies.

    Whenever I cancel a reservation, I make sure to jot down date and time of my call, the reservationist I spoke with, and any cancellation numbers. I like to have all this information handy in the unlikely event of any problems with my refund. 

    Also remember that there are cancellation policies as you get close to your vacation, so make sure you are familiar with the cancellation policy when booking to make sure it is flexible enough for your particular travel needs.
