Hey there, Robin. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I, too, am an
Annual Passholder and I know what a hard decision it was last year trying to decide whether or not to keep or cancel our Annual Passes.
Robin, I think you will be excited to know that Disney is re-issuing Annual Passes to Guests that did decide to cancel last year during the shutdown. This is on a case-by-case basis at this time. What you'll need to do is get in touch with the Annual Pass support line at (407)WDW-PASS and the Cast Member helping you will start an application for you. You'll be asked some questions and then once your case has been reviewed someone will reach back out to you on the decision. If you don't want to call, you can also stop by Guest Relations if you are currently at Walt Disney World. Disney is also selling new annual passes to kids who have a parent with a current Annual Pass that has turned 3, now needing valid theme park admission and Guests wishing to renew an existing Annual Pass. I should mention that if your case is approved you will be getting a brand new annual pass and you won't qualify for the renewal discount that you would typically receive.
I hope you are able to rejoin the Annual Pass program soon, Robin. Currently, there are some really
great specials for passholders like 40% off of select Walt Disney World resort hotels. We just booked a room for my daughter's birthday and were able to save a lot of money with that deal.
I know you've got to be ready to get your annual pass back and start visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Parks again. Keep in mind that even with an annual pass, you do still need to make
park pass reservations before you visit. Annual Passholders without a resort reservation are able to make a total of 3 park pass reservations and don't need to be in any consecutive order. They are on a rolling system and once you've used one of the three, you can log back on and make another. If you are a resort Guest, you are able to make park pass reservations for the length of your stay plus an additional three. Before planning a trip, I highly encourage you to check out the
theme park availability calendar. The calendar is broken down into three categories (Resort Guests, Ticket Holders and Annual Passholders) and each one has its own calendar. It takes a little bit more planning ahead but I am just happy to be back in the parks these days.
I hope this helps, Robin, and you are able to get everything squared away with your annual pass. If you have any other questions,
I'd love to help you out.
Have a great day!
