Hi there, Nicole!
Thanks for stopping by with your great
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! It sounds like you're considering a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Oh boy! Nicole, you've come to the right place. I'd be happy to help you understand booking policies for both
Disney Resort hotel reservations and theme park reservations!
Sometimes, things don't go according to plan. Luckily, many Walt Disney World Resort bookings allow Guests the flexibility to modify or cancel plans ahead of time without penalty, Nicole. According to the
2023 Walt Disney Travel Company Terms & Conditions, Guests who have booked a
vacation package (which includes a bundled Disney Resort hotel reservation and theme park tickets) must cancel or modify their bookings at least 30 days in advance to avoid penalties. For vacation packages canceled between two to 29 days before their scheduled arrival dates, Guests will receive a refund minus the deposit paid at the time of booking. Vacation packages canceled within two days of arrival are fully non-refundable.
Room-only Disney Resort hotel reservations can be canceled or modified without penalty up to five days before the scheduled check-in date. Cancelations made within four days of the arrival date incur a penalty equal to the first night's stay (which is usually paid as a deposit at the time of booking). Many Disney Resort hotel reservations can be modified online within
My Disney Experience.
Nicole, at this time,
theme park reservations are still required for admission into the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. (Starting in early January, reservations will
no longer be required for most date-based theme park tickets.) Nicole, Guests will not be penalized for modifying or canceling theme park reservations at any time. However, as a courtesy to other Guests, I recommend changing or canceling your theme park reservations ahead of your planned visits, if possible! You can easily change or cancel these reservations by visiting the
"My Theme Park Reservations" page on the Walt Disney World Resort website.
I hope you've found this information helpful, Nicole! If you have any additional planning questions, feel free to revisit
planDisney anytime. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
