Hiya David,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing your planning question to us today! I’m Ashley, and I am happy to help you prepare for your upcoming visit.
Life happens, and sometimes your plans have to change, so I agree that preparing for any last-minute changes is vital. Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park tickets are
nontransferable and nonrefundable, which means you would be unable to cancel them. If your wife isn’t up to a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, you should be able to change the dates on your tickets for a date that might work better for you and your wife. You may have to pay for the difference in ticket prices depending on the new dates, but as long as you haven’t used a day of your Theme Park tickets first, it should be pretty easy to do. If you aren’t sure when you can make a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, keep the tickets linked to your
My Disney Experience account. Also, hold onto your ticket id/confirmation number as well. Even if your expiration date lapses, you can still reach out to a
Cast Member to see if they can apply the value of your Theme Park tickets to future tickets.
I hope this was helpful, David. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
