Hiya Chris,
Welcome to planDisney!
Vacation Packages are great for helping you budget for your vacation and make the trip of your dreams happen. Whenever I plan a major trip, I make sure to reserve one; it helps me plan better and do more during my vacation.
As you know, the final balance for your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package is due 30 days before your arrival. However, you ask a good question: what happens if you are late for that important date? I spoke to a Cast Member, and they informed me that your reservation will not be canceled immediately if payment is not received. You will receive an email notifying you that your payment is past due, and you will be allowed to make the final payment. If, for some reason, you are not able to pay the final balance or are only able to make a partial payment, then your next step should be to reach out to a Cast Member in
Tickets and Hotel Reservations. There are no guarantees, but they will discuss your specific situation with you and help guide you on the next steps.
I hope this was helpful, Chris, and allows you to put your mind at ease a little. Before I let you go, don’t forget to take advantage of the
water park benefit during your visit. Both water parks are open this summer, so you will get a choice of which one you want to visit. My toddler is Frozen-obsessed, so
Blizzard Beach was a must-do for us, but the wave pool at
Typhoon Lagoon is super impressive (it is North America’s largest, after all)! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
