Welcome to planDisney, Marcey!
Marcey, as the mother of a Mouseketeer who will be turning 10 in just a few short months, I appreciate this question. The first thing you'll want to do is
call into the Existing tickets line and speak to a Cast Member who will be able to
modify your ticket. As you are modifying to a higher priced ticket, you will need to pay the difference between the two. While this likely isn't the news you were hoping for, I am happy to report that when I priced out recent ticket purchases for my family, I was happy to see that the difference wasn't as drastic as I was expecting.
Now Marcey, once your son's ticket has been updated, make sure to secure your
Disney Park Pass reservations for the time frame that you're planning to visit. In order to enter the parks, you need a valid ticket but also a Disney Park Pass reservation. These are easily reserved through your
My Disney Experience account.
Marcey, I hope this helps as you are dreaming about the start of summer at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you haven't yet returned to the world of Magic since the phased reopening began, make sure to read all about
the enhanced health and safety measures you'll see when you arrive.
Please come on back to planDisney with any other questions you might have. Wishing you a pixie-dusted trip,
Lauren
