I had to cancel my vacation because it was the first weekend in June. I prepurchased a memory maker. Does that remain in my account or do I just forfeit that cost?

    Say Cheese, Beth!

A warm welcome to planDisney. Thank you for sending us your wondEARful question about Memory Maker at Walt Disney World Resort.

Beth, I am so sorry you had to cancel your vacation last year. I hope you get to visit Walt Disney World Resort soon! I think you'll be impressed at how the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort is being handled.

However, I am so happy you purchased a Memory Maker entitlement! My family is a huge fan of Memory Maker. We find it’s a great way to document our Walt Disney World Resort vacations while keeping us all in the picture!

We also love having access to the many fun Magic Shots available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Magic Shots feature some of our favorite Disney Characters and other fun special effects! Don't forget to ask your Disney PhotoPass photographer about them.

As a mom, I love being able to put my phone away and “say cheese!” alongside my family. I can’t think of a better time to have Memory Maker than during the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort! It makes it so much easier to photograph our memories as a family without having to rely on a stranger using my cell phone to capture us all in the shot.

Beth, Memory Maker does not begin to expire until it is first activated. Because you never activated it last year, your Memory Maker entitlement should remain in your My Disney Experience account until you are ready to use it! Woo-hoo!

Once you activate your Memory Maker in person and begin capturing your family’s precious memories, Disney PhotoPass photos, dining photos, attraction photos and other digital content in your My Disney Experience account will expire 45 days from the date the photo was taken. If you would like to extend the expiration date to 60 days from the date the photos or videos were taken, you may purchase an expiration extension on the Disney PhotoPass website. Please keep in mind that the expiration date of your photos and videos can only be extended once.

Beth, if you have any additional questions, please visit planDisney again. We are all EARS and always ready to help you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We look forward to welcoming you HOME!

    Wishing you a Picture-Perfect Vacation,

    Priscila
