Welcome to planDisney, Allen! I'm so happy you found us.
I'm very sorry to hear that you have to cancel your vacation. I've been there and I know that it's pretty disappointing. I hope that all is okay and that you get to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort again at some point in the future!
If you purchased a
theme park ticket only, you are usually able to apply the amount that you paid for the ticket to a new ticket with new dates. If the cost of the new ticket is more expensive, you will be responsible for the difference. If the cost of the new ticket is less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference. If your ticket is part of a
vacation package that you purchased directly from the Walt Disney World Resort website and your vacation is over 30 days away, you will likely be able to receive a refund for the cost of your package (minus any third-party fees that may apply). Please note that policies can change and I recommend you check out the
Terms and Conditions page of the site for more details.
If you purchased just a ticket, you can usually change the date of your ticket through your
My Disney Experience account. Simply log in, select "My Plans" under the My Disney Experience menu, scroll down to "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets," and select "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker." If you see the option to "Change Ticket," click it and follow the prompts. If you have any issues, you can
call the resort and a friendly Cast Member will be able to assist you. And while you won't be able to see their smile through the phone, they truly are magic and I guarantee you they are smiling widely on the other end of the line.
Allen, if you're planning on rescheduling to 2024 or beyond,
the possibilities are seemingly endless!
Please reach out if you have any other questions.
Take care and hope to see ya real soon,
Matt
