I had to cancel my trip because of the virus. I just rebooked today for October. I paid for upgraded magic bands that have arrived. How do I link them to my new reservation?

    Hi Deanna,

Thanks for stopping in at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to hear that you've been able to reschedule your Walt Disney World vacation for the fall.

And I have good news for you: Your MagicBands are tied to your My Disney Experience account, not to a specific vacation reservation. So you shouldn't have to do anything to activate them for your delayed trip. Just be sure to remember to bring them with you in October.

Your My Disney Experience account is the home for your tickets, your FastPass+ reservations, resort information and more. You can have multiple MagicBands synced to My Disney Experience. As long as they are active and have a functioning battery, the MagicBands are interchangeable. I like to mix and match mine during my visits. My current favorite is the Dole Whip design.

If you do online check-in before your arrival, you can skip the front desk and go directly to your resort room. Those MagicBands also act as your room key. They are incredibly multi-functional.

I hope that answers your question, Deanna. During your fall visit, you won't want to miss the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. And, if you want to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you will want to get your tickets in advance since the special event tends to sell out in October. Happy planning!
