Hiya Wendy!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this question. I am so sorry to hear that you have to cancel your magical vacation, and I hope you will be able to reschedule it real soon! As Remy said: "the only predictable thing about life is its unpredictability," so let's talk about what you can do with your reservations.
First, depending on the type of Resort hotel reservation you have, you may be able to cancel it online on
My Disney Experience. Otherwise, you may have to
call a Disney representative who will be able to help further. Although you should not have to pay any cancellation fees over 30 days before your reservation, I recommend doing this as soon as possible. Plus, if you would like to reschedule your trip, you can also ask to change the dates of your reservation.
Second, let's discuss your plans for the theme parks and other reservations!
Theme park reservations can be cancelled online on My Disney Experience, though you can also modify them if you want to reschedule your trip. Theme park tickets are, unfortunately, non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. However, if you do plan to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in the future,
unused, expired theme park tickets can be used as a credit and applied to your next purchase of theme park tickets. Lastly, you may also be able to cancel your dining reservations online or in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, but don't hesitate to reach out to a Disney representative for assistance!
I hope this was helpful, Wendy, and that I could provide some pixie dust in this not-so-magical situation. If you have any other questions or want to plan your next Disney vacation, please don't hesitate to reach back out. It is always an honour to help fellow international Guests like me!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
