Hi, Marie!
Welcome to planDisney. I am glad you sent your question to us!
I am sorry to hear you need to cancel your trip! It is disappointing when life obligations prevent us from enjoying a much-needed vacation to Disneyland Resort. Only the lead Guest (the person who made the reservations) can modify or cancel a
Vacation Package or hotel reservation in my experience. However, the lead Guest should be able to remove you from a Vacation Package as long as it is not too close to the trip (generally 30 or more days before you are scheduled to arrive). Room-only reservations can usually be canceled without penalties at least five days before the arrival date. You can always try calling the
"Vacations Package" or "Hotel Reservations" lines to explore other options.
Keep in mind that theme-park tickets are generally non-refundable if not purchased as part of a Vacation Package. Instead, you can cancel your current park reservations and make new park reservations on a different date when you can visit Disneyland, as long as it is before the ticket expiration date (and subject to availability and any price differences).
I do hope you can visit next month!
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort continues through October 31, 2024, and there are so many spooktacular things to see and do! Check out the
Disney Parks Blog Halloween Foodie Guide to find all of the delicious treats that can be found in the parks, and ride some of my favorite attractions that have seasonal overlays, including
Haunted Mansion Holiday and
Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark.
Marie, thank you again for reaching out to planDisney. Even if you have to cancel your trip, we hope to see you real soon!
Seasons Screamings!
