Hi, Linda! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
I'm so sorry to hear that you need to postpone your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I actually just returned from a visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and with all of the enhanced health and safety measures, it was the safest I have felt in any public place since all of this began. That being said, we realize that not everyone is ready or able to travel right now, so you may certainly modify your vacation to
return to the magic at a time that is right for you.
Walt Disney World Resort wants Guests to be able to book with confidence. If you have a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservation, you can take a look at the
Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go page to learn more about modifying your reservations. Currently, a flexible cancellation policy is being offered in which any Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees are being waived up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through April 30, 2021.
To learn more about extending the expiration date of your
theme park tickets, you'll want to check out the
Parks and Tickets: Know Before You Go page. Partially used multi-day theme park tickets with a usage window impacted by park closure, or date-specific theme park tickets purchased through June 6, 2020 with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020 or later, will automatically be extended to use any date through September 26, 2021. If you are unable to visit by September 26, 2021, you may apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date.
If you need additional assistance with modifying your vacation plans, I recommend calling the
Help Center to chat with a Cast Member. Linda, rest assured, when you are ready to travel again, the magic of Walt Disney World Resort will be waiting for you.
See ya real soon!
Samantha
