Hi Linda!
I see this is your first visit to planDisney, so welcome aboard. We love helping Guests with their cruise planning...it's our jam! But we also understand that there will be times where we have to lend an assist with vacation un-planning. So count us in your corner as you navigate the cancellation waters.
So you’ve decided you need to cancel your Disney cruise reservation. I know that was probably a tough decision to make. I don't know when you were scheduled to sail, so be sure to check the Cancellation Fee Schedule under this
Book with Confidence link. The rules have been temporarily relaxed, so now Guests needing to cancel who have reservations through September 2021 may do so more than 59 days before their Sail Date without incurring any fees (this applies to non-Suite and non-Concierge categories). Any closer to your cruise, and the
terms and conditions of your Cruise Contract would apply.
Once you have reviewed the cancellation terms, you should
contact Disney Cruise Line directly (or your Travel Agent if you used one for the booking). Disney Cruise Line understands that we are in uncharted waters right now and currently has some pretty flexible rules regarding cancellations, so I hope it will work out exactly like you want.
Disney Cruise Line also has a unique offering called
Cruise Date Flexibility that might work for you. You could leave your reservation intact and change your sail date up to 15 days prior to your embarkation day (if you are scheduled to sail on or before September 30, 2021.) You would then choose a new cruise that begins prior to September 30, 2022. Hey, just trying to do what I can to enable others to travel and get on a cruise ship with Captain Mickey!
When you do decide to sail again, we hope you will chart a course for planDisney again. And when you do return, drop me a line and say, “Hey, remember me...I’m getting to cruise again” and we can do a happy dance together!
Sherry
