Welcome to planDisney, Katie! I'm sorry to hear that you may be facing a vacation interruption; with your arrival day set to today, I'm going to jump right into your options so you can adjust your plans for your tickets!
Katie, the current policy for standard theme park tickets at
Walt Disney World Resort does not allow for cancellations or refunds, however, the good news is that any unused tickets that are not expired can be modified for new vacation dates. You can even complete this process on your own using the My Disney Experience mobile app by following these steps:
- Open your My Disney Experience mobile app and click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right.
- Select the "Tickets and Passes" tile.
- Find the ticket you would like to modify and select "Change Ticket" then follow the prompts to select your new dates (note that this may require you to pay an additional cost if the new dates are more expensive than the original dates selected.)
If you are not ready to commit to another date, hakuna matata (it means, no worries!) because your unused ticket will retain its value, meaning you can always apply the original value of your ticket to another ticket when you are ready to resume your vacation planning. Another option in the mobile app is to "Reassign Ticket, " where you can transfer your existing ticket to anyone connected to you on your Family & Friends List.
Katie, I hope this helps and I hope you will be able to find another time to use your tickets and experience the Most Magical Place on Earth! When you're ready to jump back into planning mode, we'd love to see you again here at
planDisney to help answer any and all of your planning questions!
Magic Awaits,
Alison
