I have to cancel my tickets for March and would like to push them to October - how do I do so? I also purchased memory maker - how can I push that out?

    Greetings Brooke!

I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question today.

October is one of my favorite times to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth! I adore seeing the characters decked out in their spook-tacular costumes and trying delicious Fall inspired treats! You will have the most magical time especially this yEAR as Walt Disney World Resort celebrates its 50th Anniversary!

Brooke, if you have standalone theme park tickets, you can use the value of your completely unused Disney Theme Park Ticket toward a new ticket purchase for another date. However, if the new date is more expensive, you will need to pay the difference in price between the two.

The Memory Maker shouldn't begin until you take your first photo at Walt Disney World Resort. If you don't plan on visiting until October, the Memory Maker should start during your October visit.

However, these rules apply to Standalone Tickets; the Memory Maker and a vacation package will work differently. If you have a vacation package, the whole vacation package will need to be modified to your October dates and there may be a price difference.

You can try to modify your Standalone Tickets via your My Disney Experience account by logging in and heading to your "My Plans" page; it is here that you will find a small tab on the page that states "Tickets & Memory Maker." You will want to select this and if the system will allow you to make a modification, you will see a "Change" or "Modify" button listed that will allow you to change the start date on the ticket. If this option, does not automatically present itself under this tab, you can call the Ticket Services Department at (407) 566-4985 and a Cast Member will be happy to help you. They are available from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Eastern Time, seven days a week.

In order to modify a vacation package, you can head to your "My Plans" page, and view your linked reservation. On the date of check-in, you should see a "Change" or "Modify" button listed on your reservation that should allow you to change your dates, your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and sometimes even allow you to add a Special Offer if it is available!

Brooke, we can’t wait for you to return to the magic!
