Hello, Junior, and welcome to planDisney!
Sometimes the magic is calling us to visit Walt Disney World Resort, but because of unforeseen circumstances, we have to postpone those most pixie-dusted moments. But Hakuna Matata (no worries), there is still a way to make the most of your purchase, Junior.
To start, Walt Disney World Resort policy is that theme park tickets are
nontransferable and nonrefundable. So, you will not be able to get a refund on them, but you can definitely change the dates in which you use them.
As long as the theme park tickets are unused and have not expired, you can make the date or selected theme park change by using your
My Disney Experience account online. Or make this change via the My Disney Experience app. In the app, click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner. Select "Tickets and Passes," select your ticket, and then "Change Ticket." You may call
Guest Relations to help with this process as well. Depending on the new dates that you select, and because Disney ticket prices are different throughout the year, you may have to pay the difference between the cost of your new and old dates.
AN EXTRA GEM: As I mentioned, you can also change which theme parks you'd like to visit (in case that is the reason you want to cancel). Just find your "Theme Park Reservations" in your My Disney Experience online. Select "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations." Find and select the reservation for your currently selected theme park, and select "Modify Reservation." You can go from visiting
Disney's Hollywood Studios to
Magic Kingdom Park in a matter of minutes.
Junior, whenever you decide to use your tickets, I hope that you have the BEST time! If you have any other Disney vacation planning questions,
feel free to revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
