Hey there, Michael, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question!
Michael, I think I have some fantastic news for you. Canceling your
Theme Park Reservation does not automatically cancel the underlying Theme Park Ticket. Walt Disney World understands that vacation plans require some flexibility and have recently changed the reservation process to allow Guests to make modifications to their reservations directly in the Disney ParkPass system. If you are no longer able to use your Theme Park Ticket for your current dates, you can also modify your Theme Park Ticket start date. As long as the Theme Park Ticket modification is completed before your current ticket start date, you can move the start date to your new resort visit date. If the changes are not completed before your current ticket start date,
the tickets will expire. The great news is that the amount you paid for unused, expired Theme Park Tickets never expire and can be applied to future ticket purchases! Additionally, Walt Disney World uses a date-based pricing model, so changes to your ticket dates may incur additional charges.
I hope this helps, Michael! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation,
stop back by and let me know!
You’ve got a friend in me,
PG
