Hi, Kathy! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question.
I'm so sorry that your brother-in-law isn't feeling well. Your family is in our thoughts, and hopefully he'll be right as rain again soon and can join you for your next Walt Disney World Resort visit.
Cancelling your brother-in-law's
Disney Park Pass reservation is easy to do right in your
My Disney Experience account. Just log in to your account and look for the "My Plans" section. Once you're there, you should see your Disney Park Pass reservations for each day of your visit. You can click on "Cancel," and then select individual Guests or cancel for your entire party. Confirm your selections and cancel your reservation, and then go back to "My Plans" to double check that your new information is correct.
While Walt Disney World tickets are typically non-refundable, there have been some
policy changes during the phased reopening, so you might want to
check with Guest Services to see what they recommend. Another option you might consider is saving the ticket for another day and/or
reassigning it to another Guest. Again, in your My Disney Experience account, look for "Tickets and Passes." That will show you all tickets that you manage for your
friends and family members. Go to the ticket that's assigned to your brother-in-law, and you can choose to reassign it to someone else or just change the dates. Since Walt Disney World prices tickets by date, you may need to pay the difference if the date you selected has a different price, so just keep that in mind.
Kathy, if you're having trouble changing your tickets or still need assistance, you can call Walt Disney World's Guest Services number at the link I provided above and speak directly to a Cast Member. That's your best bet for getting help right away.
I hope I was able to help, Kathy. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
