Welcome to planDisney, Robert! It's always nice to make a new friend.
If you have a wholly unused
theme park ticket to the theme parks at the
Disneyland Resort, you can usually apply the amount you've paid for your ticket towards a new one.
You should contact a friendly Cast Member at the resort to do this. Please note that if the new ticket ends up being more expensive, you will be responsible for the difference at the time of purchase and if it is less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference.
When you are planning your vacation, be sure to check to see if any of the
special events that were recently announced for the resort are happening when you are there! It's a goal of mine to get out to the resort for one (or more) of the
Disneyland After Dark events. And in 2024, they're adding a brand-new event,
Disneyland After Dark: Disney Channel Nite. It looks epic! Each of these separately ticketed events has specialty offerings, not to mention usually lower crowds, usually resulting in lower wait times for attractions. I better get planning!
Robert, if you have any other questions leading up to your visit, don't hesitate to reach out directly to me. Like Ariel says, "
Ask 'em my questions and get some answers." I'll happily get them for you!
I'd love to explore that shore up above,
Matt
