Hi Heather!
Thank you so much for sending your
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!
Oh, dear! I'm so sorry that you had to cancel your stay at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Heather. Room-only reservations have the benefit of being eligible for a 100% refund if canceled at least five (5) days before your planned check-in date. In my experience, a refund can take up to 10 business days to process, but if yours still hasn't come through after that amount of time you can contact the helpful Hotel Reservation Cast Members at
(714) 956-6425.
Pro Tip: Did you cancel your reservation over the same phone line? It's possible that you might be able to cancel a Disneyland Resort Hotel reservation in the
Disneyland Mobile App or your
My Disney Experience account. However, we've noticed that the 'Cancel' button next to
Park Pass Reservations only
deletes the reservations for the day and does not initiate a refund of the
Theme Park Admission Tickets; if this were me I'd still call the Hotel Reservation helpline to double-check that everything went through as I'd hate for you to be expecting a refund if the online or in-app cancel button doesn't auto-magically trigger a refund.
I'm so sorry for all of the extra trouble you're having to go through over your reservation, Heather. But know that if you're still able to make it to Mickey's house, you're still more than welcome to walk through the lobby of The Grand as well as
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and the historic
Disneyland Hotel. Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Panel Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
