Yoo-hoo, Ernie! Welcome to
planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I would be delighted to help you out today!
Some Things Never Change, but sometimes plans definitely do. Did you also sing that in your head? No? Just me? Okay. Ernie, although I am sad to read that you are planning on canceling your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, I know that life can throw us curveballs from time to time. Needless to say, this will all make sense when you are older... right? Right! Just like our friend Olaf loves to say, "when you're older, absolutely everything makes sense". You might have to cancel your magical Disney vacation today, but who knows what the future will bring? After all, there's a great, big beautiful tomorrow just a dream away.
Now, on to the task at hand. Thankfully, the
Walt Disney World Resort has some
very understanding cancellation policies. Everyone knows that the current situation is filled with uncertainty, so the Disney Parks team has made it really easy to cancel or modify existing reservations. On that note, let me walk you through your next steps. Ernie, in order for you to cancel your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, you are going to need to log into your Disney account through the
My Disney Experience website. If your reservation is eligible for a modification or cancellation, you will see a Cancel or Modify button right next to it. That being said, please remember that you will only be able to receive a refund of your deposit if you cancel your reservation five days prior to your arrival date. If you have followed all of these steps and you still haven't been able to cancel your reservation, I would highly suggest speaking to a friendly Cast Member at (407) 939-7429.
I wish you all the best, Ernie. Please don't hesitate to come back if you have any other questions about planning a magical Disney vacation!
Bye-bye for now,
Ana Paula
