How do I cancel resort and park reservations?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Sandra.

I'm sorry to see that you are inquiring about canceling your Walt Disney World vacation. Oftentimes, plans do change but hopefully, you'll plan another vacation to the most magical place on earth soon. To cancel a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Reservation, you may be able to do this yourself online. If you can, you'll need to log into your MyDisneyExperience account. Then, you'll need to head to the "My Reservations" section where you should see your reservation listed. If your reservation can be canceled online, you should see that option listed there. If it is not possible for you to cancel your reservation online, then you will need to call (407) 934-7639 and have a Cast Member assist you. I did want to mention that a cancellation fee may apply depending on how close you are to your reservation.

To cancel your park pass reservations, you'll also need to log into your MyDisneyExperience account. Then, you'll need to scroll down until you see the section, "My Plans Reservations and Tickets". Under that section, you should see your daily itinerary and park pass reservations that you had selected for your trip. Under each day, you'll see the option to "View Details" and you'll want to select that. On the page that that button will take you to, you'll see all of the details of the park pass reservation including the option to "Cancel This Reservation". If you are sure you are not going to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks on that particular day, you'll then select that button and that will cancel your park pass reservation. You'll want to do that for every day that you wish to cancel. When that is all done, if you head back over to your MyDisneyExperience you should be able to see all of the changes that you've made reflected there. I'm sad that you need to cancel your park pass reservations but also wanted to thank you for doing so. This will open up more availability on the calendar for other Guests to be able to enjoy the theme parks on those days. It's a very thoughtful thing to do!

I hope this helps you make all of the necessary cancellations that you need to make, Sandra. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm happy to help.

Hope you have a great rest of your day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
