Welcome Home, James - and welcome to planDisney! It's always a great day when I get to chat with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member, and I will be happy to help with your question. Let's dive right in!
While I'm sorry to hear you're canceling an upcoming reservation, being a part of DVC means that adventure is always out there! Hopefully you can use those
Vacation Points for another magical getaway sometime soon.
There are two ways to cancel your reservation. You can either call
Member Services or cancel online on the Member website. If you haven't spent much time on the website, I definitely recommend spending some time exploring the different features so you can take full advantage! If it's your first time logging in, contact Member Services first to get an activation code for the site. Once you have successfully logged in, select the "My DVC" option (at the right-hand side of the top of the page), and then click "My Dashboard".
Your Dashboard is the hub of all of your Member activity! You will see a breakdown of your Vacation Points, links to lots of helpful resources, and a list of any current reservations. Simply click on the reservation you need to cancel and select the "View or Modify Details" option. This will take you to a more in-depth view of the specific booking and you can cancel there. Keep in mind that all Vacation Points used to make the reservation will be returned to your account in the
Use Year where the reservation falls.
James, I hope this information is helpful to get your cancellation sorted out. I'm sure you'll be planning your next magical Disney adventure before long! If our planDisney squad can help with any questions about your DVC Membership or Disney destinations in general, please come see us again anytime. Thanks for stopping by!
Stay Magical,
Susan
