Hey, howdy, hey, Susan! Thanks for popping in to planDisney with your question. I would be happy to share more about how the
theme park reservation process works, so we can get you to the Happiest Place on Earth as soon as possible!
My hunch is, if you have
one-day tickets, depending on which Tier you had purchased, you may not be seeing availability for the day you’d like. Good news,
you can upgrade by paying the difference! You can contact
Ticket Services via phone or visit the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booth. (My suggestion is to contact them in advance, as you wouldn’t want to take a chance of arriving at the parks and not getting reservations that day.)
Here is what I suggest…even though you already have your tickets, start the process as if you were purchasing new tickets (but don’t actually purchase them – this is just to check availability of other tiers, so you have a sense of what you need to upgrade to.) Go to the
Disneyland Resort website, click on Parks & Tickets, and select Theme Park Tickets. Select the number of days and number of tickets and proceed to the next screen which will show you
reservation availability.
If you see the date(s) you’d like available,
contact Ticket Services, and inquire about upgrading your current tickets prior to your arrival, so you have a chance to secure reservations in advance of arrival.
A couple of other tips for future reference:
~ Availability may vary by ticket type –
Park Hopper or One Park Per Day. If you're keen to experience both parks, when you purchase a Park Hopper ticket, you are reserving the park where you’d like to start, but then after 1:00 p.m., you can hop to the other park and move back and forth between the two as much as you’d like the remainder of the day!
~ There is an
availability calendar for Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests in case you’re ever staying on property.
I hope this helps! Please come back and see us if you have any more questions. Adventure is out there!
See ya real soon,
Kamini
