Hi Kendal! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
It sounds like you've potentially had a change in plans or anticipate that you might encounter this situation. That's understandable! Life happens. We've had to cancel before and while it's disappointing, hopefully, your next visit is right around the corner. Let me see if I can help!
If you're
canceling your Disneyland Resort Hotel room-only reservation, you have until 5 days before your arrival to avoid paying a cancelation fee. If it is a Vacation Package that combines your stay with your theme park admission tickets for increased value, you'll need to cancel 30 days or more before your arrival to avoid being charged. Dining Reservations can be canceled as well, however, each dining location maintains its own policy for the window in which reservations can be
canceled before they incur a fee. This is also the case for
Enchanting Extras: You can cancel these plans but must do so within their established window for cancelation. When you cancel reservations within the approved time frame posted online, you will be refunded any payments you may have made to your original method of payment. The window for cancelation can change, so it's always best to check. Once a cancelation has taken place, it may take a few days for that refund to post.
One exception is theme park reservations. If you need to cancel a
theme park reservation associated with a valid wholly unused
admission ticket, you will not be refunded the cost of that admission ticket. Theme park admission tickets are non-refundable. However, if life has gotten in the way of your plans and you need to cancel your theme park reservation, you can book a new theme park reservation. The good news is that Disneyland Resort admission tickets maintain their value, so even if your ticket expires, you can apply that value to the purchase of a new ticket.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
