Hi there, Gary, and welcome to planDisney!
Sometimes we have to put our plans to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth on hold. And it takes a lot of planning to make sure that long-awaited vacation is picture perfect. This means that there are a lot of reservations involved. So, let's get into some of the cancellation policies for things like hotel stays, dining, and theme parks.
Resort hotel room-only reservation: You may cancel this at least 5 days in advance for a full refund. Any later than that, you will be charged the cost of a one-night stay (which is the deposit).
Resort hotel vacation package reservation: You may cancel this at least 30 days before your arrival date for a full refund. But from 2 to 29 days, you will pay a $200 cancelation fee. On the day of or the day before? You'll pay the entire vacation package price.
Dining reservations: Most dining locations at Walt Disney World property can be canceled without penalty at least 2 hours prior to the reservation time. However, there are some exceptions like dinner shows like
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and fireworks
dessert parties.
You can check out the policies here. Theme park reservation: At Walt Disney World Resort, there is no cancellation fee for not showing up for a
theme park reservation. I do strongly recommend that you modify the date of your ticket in your My Disney Experience account before that date though.
Gary, I hope that this information is helpful. If you have any other questions about your Disney vacation, please
give us a holler here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
