If I cancel my reservation for Disneyland in California, it's refundable right or not?

    Hello, Milinda!

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney and asking us your question. I hope that your question is only hypothetical, but I know plans sometimes change and cancellations can become necessary. The refund policy varies depending on which element of your Disneyland Resort vacation you wish to cancel.

Disneyland Resort Vacation Packages are fully refundable within 24 hours of booking if you booked 72 hours or more prior to the posted check-in time. If a package cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to your arrival, the full amount paid will generally be refunded, with the exception of possible cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels and non-refundable travel protection plan costs. If you cancel a package between 4 and 29 days prior to arrival, a cancellation fee of $200 will be subtracted from your refund, in addition to any cancellation fees and non-refundable travel protection plan costs as mentioned previously. For package cancellations made 3 days or less prior to your arrival, the full price of the package (including the amount paid for theme park tickets) is non-refundable.

Disneyland Resort Hotel Room-Only reservations are also fully refundable within 24 hours of booking as long as you booked 72 hours or more in advance of your visit. Otherwise, your reservation must be canceled at least 4 days prior to the arrival date for a full refund. A cancellation that is made less than 4 days prior to arrival will result in a fee equal to the first night’s room plus taxes and fees. For assistance with canceling, please call the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5060.

Theme park reservations can be canceled and rescheduled for an available day in the future as long as your ticket remains valid, but theme park tickets are not refundable.

I hope this information answers your question, Milinda, and that you’re able to enjoy a pixie-dusted vacation soon! Please don’t hesitate to write back with any other questions you may have.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
