Thank you for trusting us here at planDisney with your Walt Disney World travel planning question! I’m sorry to hear about your possible trip cancellation, but I understand that sometimes changes need to be made.
Melissa, to cancel your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, log in to your My Disney Experience account and under the header “My Disney Experience”, select “My Plans and Tickets”. You will scroll down to find the resort reservation that you are looking to cancel. Next to your confirmation number, you will see the option to cancel the reservation. There are
cancellation rules that could apply. For vacation packages, if you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, there is no penalty. If you cancel between 2 and 29 days before arrival, there is a $200 cancellation fee. If you cancel one day or less before arrival, the full price of the package is nonrefundable.
Melissa, if you booked a room-only reservation, you will be refunded for your deposit if you cancel your trip 8 or more days prior to your arrival date. You can always call the
Walt Disney World reservations phone line, and a friendly Cast Member will help you cancel your reservation. They can also help you reschedule your trip if you are ready to make those plans!
Melissa, once you do get your plans re-scheduled and have a magical journey planned, don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
