How do I cancel a reservation?

Hi there, Janet! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to chat with us. I’m sorry to hear that your plans to visit Walt Disney World have changed. However, you are not alone! It has become more necessary than ever during these unprecedented times to make flexible vacation plans, and Walt Disney World understands how important this is! However, the cancellation policies for Disney Vacation Packages have always been lenient! As you are likely already aware, to book a vacation package more than 30 days before the date of your visit, all that is needed is a small deposit of $200. The remainder of the balance is not due until 30 days before your vacation! Up until that time, you can cancel with no penalty whatsoever. Within the 30 days before your stay, cancellation fees do apply. The way to cancel a reservation is by calling Disney Reservations via telephone.

Janet, I hope that your visit means you will be booking a Walt Disney World vacation soon! With so much excitement and energy on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to visit. Meanwhile, check out the Experience Updates pages to see the details of other policies and procedures in place to safeguard the health and well-being of all Guests and Cast Members. And please remember that we are here for you during any stage of your planning and would love to see you back here again soon!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
