How do you cancel a reservation

    Hi there, Emily!

Welcome to planDisney. I’m so glad you stopped by with your question for us.

Emily, I completely understand the fact that plans sometimes change and reservations need to be cancelled. Thankfully, when it comes to Walt Disney World Resort, it’s never a goodbye, but a “See ya real soon!”

Depending on the reservation, you may be able to cancel it online or by calling and speaking with a Cast Member. If it is a Walt Disney World Resort hotel room only or a package reservation that you have made online, you may be able to cancel it through your My Disney Experience account. You will want to log on to your My Disney Experience account and go to My Reservations. If it is able to be cancelled online, you will see the “Cancel Reservation” option. If it cannot be cancelled online, you will need to call (407) 934-7639 and a Cast Member will be happy to assist you.

If you are referring to an advanced dining reservation, that can also be done online. Once you have logged on to your My Disney Experience account, you will want to go to My Plans and scroll down until you see the reservation you would like to cancel. Click on the “Cancel Reservation” and that should do the trick!

One thing is for sure, Emily: when you’re ready to return to the magic, we will be here and elated to help you plan your enchanting vacation!

We hope to see you real soon, pal!
